Top of the Mornin' Katchu Bunnies.

Here's an interesting vid about armour from NHK.

It features the work of Tetsuya Noguchi who made those crazy brilliant models of Samurai sporting Chanel and Louis Vuitton logo as Kamon:

You will enjoy it (That's not an order, though Raoul would make it so....)

Hi John, nice to have you here.

He's an amazing artist. Is he in Canada, or are you going to Japan for the DTI.

Awesome John, Pics of his workshop would be appreciated, an interview for this august organ would be even better.

        No Pressure........

(And before Jan, Dave, Raoul or any of the Hard Kore Krew Katchu Bunnies steps in, that is nothing to do with that which adorns your local Ballroom or the eighth month of the year...)

I'll be meeting with him in Tokyo. Won't be there for the DTI unfortunately.

Hi John! Nice to see you again. Don’t be a stranger
I’ve seen this guy on several TV-shows. Amazing skills, indeed. Hope you will have a great trip!

Malcolm; have only one bad thing to say about the artist in question. Not seen any Teppo-ashigaru amongst his creations

His work does seem to centre around "regular" samurai, Jan so I could definitely see him tackling a teppo-ashigaru in his work. I approached him about a commission several years ago and I know he was open to the subject matter...

A detailed Teppo-ashigaru would look really cool. Judging from his work I’m guessing such a commision would cost a pretty penny. But I do love the detail of his work. The facial expressions on his figures are really amazing.

It is incredible how much he knows about sengoku armor. He has a photographic memory.

Luc, long time no see! Nice to have you back
Malcolm, I just noticed that the video you linked is no longer available because of copyright claims and the associated youtube account has been shut down. Therefore, I googled for images and have to agree: brilliant work!

Well, sorry, I have not so much time for sm and fora, I disappear from time to time...
Noguchi is a fantastic person. His work is fabulous. I saw a lot of them in important Japanese collections of armor.
